Dennis M. O'Brien brings his extensive lobbying experience in Connecticut and an extensive
background in law enforcement to the Halloran & Sage Government Affairs lobby team. He has
worked in government affairs at both the state and national level and organized a national
government relations network.
Mr. O'Brien has broad experience in Connecticut having worked for a large government relations
firm before joining Halloran & Sage. His areas of expertise include transportation, public
safety/homeland security, insurance, public health, planning & development, energy,
telecommunications, environment, finance and bonding, appropriations, labor and banking.
Mr. O'Brien has experience developing and implementing community relations plans for
statewide organizations. He has coordinated political action and campaign fundraising on behalf
of clients. Additionally, he has implemented a variety of strategic plans to achieve successful
governmental relations objectives for regional and national corporations and professional trade
organizations. Mr. O'Brien has developed bipartisan contacts over the years and is recognized for
his political and legislative accomplishments. As a decorated military veteran and police officer,
Mr. O'Brien brings a high standard of commitment and pride to our team and to his clients. Mr.
O'Brien's "never die attitude" has served him well in government relations, refusing to give up on
issues important to his clients resulting in countless positive results.
Mr. O'Brien is member of The Hundred Club of Connecticut, the Marine Corps League, and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
